Financial Issues
The Abington Surgical Center charges a predetermined facility fee for each specific surgical or pain management procedure. These predetermined fees account for a number of factors such as preoperative testing, the amount of time typically required in the operating/ treatment and recovery rooms, the amounts and types of supplies and drugs used during and after a procedure, and the type of equipment needed to perform a procedure.
- Charges for the professional services of your surgeon, and anesthesiology are not included in these pre-determined facility fees. In most cases, you or your insurance company will be billed separately for these services.
- The Center will file insurance claims for you . However, insurance and medical benefits frequently pay only part of the fees or do not cover a particular procedure. You are responsible for all fees not covered by insurance or other medical benefits.
- Charges for cosmetic surgery and procedures not covered by insurance must be paid in full by the day of procedure. Acceptable forms of payment include, teller's check, certified check, money order, VISA or Mastercard.
